NEVER GIVE UP!

Purpose and Destiny:

NEVER GIVE UP!

Romans 8:28 proclaims,

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (NIV).

A mountain climber said this,

“Climbing a mountain is the furthest thing from easy. Long stretches of constant vertical climbing can be the most exhausting and hardest thing you do. Not only the physical difficulties but also the mental difficulties will also test you… You will learn to never give up; to know that the reward will be worth the work it takes. It may take you several months, attempts and hours but you will take the time and you can achieve the climb. Once you make it you will realize what all the fuss is about.”

While another said

“Climbing captures the allure and mystery of life for me…. there is the challenge of taking a step on a steep slope knowing that a mistake could be deadly but the next step will be rewarding.”

Never give up! Persevere.

God knows what we are going through. God knows what to do but He will not stop us from moving forward, from moving upward. As the saying goes, “The teacher is quiet during the test”. We must not stop praising God because in the process we take a step closer to the peak where we really want to go, where God is waiting.

As for me, I have learned that the process is never that easy. Sometimes, you will feel happy and content and sometimes you feel bad and want to quit. When I passed the board exam (in 2014) we as a batch were half-hearted whether to rejoice or feel bad. We just finished a long way of reviewing and hard work. The waiting was excruciating. Then came the results.

We wanted to rejoice because we had 2 classmates who topped in the national examination and to be sad because one of us failed in the exam. Because of this experience, I came to a point to question why this happened. Why? Why her? She’s a Christian. She loves the Lord and she prays. And I thought surely God was on her side as He did with us who passed but why? What happened? Well this is the answer I got,

“God has a plan. He has a purpose for doing this. He wants to prove a point to her and to you her fellow believers. God wants to see her survive and move forward because despite it all God still holds the TRUMP card. He is still in control and this experience is going to make her stronger as a person and as a child of God” (May 07, 2014)

I believe she was placed in that situation where the Lord took her to a place where none of us could go. But as Romans 8:28 proclaims, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (NIV) I believe this experience worked out for good not just for her but also to us her fellow believers. To us who realized that God can take us to different roads yet still reach the same location. The RIGHT location.

BELIEVE THAT WE CAN GET TO IT

Purpose and Destiny:

BELIEVE THAT WE CAN GET TO IT

Hebrews 4:6 ESV

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

We must have faith to do what we must do. It may seem impossible at times but Matthew 19: 26 NIV says Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Faith as the Bible states is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) We have heard the saying “To see is to believe”. Faith is the opposite of that statement. With faith, we first have to first believe so we can see what we believe in. Faith is never forgetting nor letting go of what you believe in no matter what circumstance you are in. No matter how hopeless it may be, faith assures us and gives peace to believe that there is still hope. Faith assures us that God is still there for us.

So when believe in His plan, God can pave the way and do the rest for us. Do not do God’s work because He can do it best.

All we have to do is do what we do and believe that we can get to where we believe we will get to. Have faith.

And remember, FAITH IS NOW!

BELIEVE IN HIS PLAN

Purpose and Destiny:

BELIEVE IN HIS PLAN

Isaiah 46:10 New American Standard Bible

Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things which have not been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;

I believe that God has a STRATEGY for our lives. He has an ultimate power plan on how we can climb the mountains in our lives, overcoming all obstacles and achieving all the goals we have in our lives.

Before we even started thinking of what we are to do, God already had an end in mind for us. Even in the beginning, God already knew our end, our purpose in life and in that purpose He has set a strategy, a plan for us to accomplish.

This is God’s plan to those who believe:

Jeremiah 9:11 New Living Translation

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

God knows what He is doing. He is the God of ALL PLANS and His plans are always for a BETTER future and a hope for all of us.

The Bible says God is not a man that He should lie nor the son of man to repent, if He said it He will do it. (Numbers 23:19) This is our assurance that whatever plan He has for us, it will be DONE no matter what happens, no matter what we want to do.

Believe in His plan and you will be prospered. (Proverbs 15:6; 13:22) As 2 Chronicles 26:5, “… as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.” So as long as we seek the Lord He will never leave us nor forsake us.

I have heard countless ministers of the Lord say that God has us always in His hand it only when we VOLUNTARILY move out of His hand that we lose His blessing. He will never evict us from His presence yet He gave us the choice to choose whether we will stay or move out.

So what do we choose? Do we choose to stay in His plan? Or move out of His perfect will for us?

GOD @ HAND

GOD AT HAND

July 17, 2016 Sunday AM

23”Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? 24 can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 23: 23-24

God knows our every needs and heart’s desire. He knows what we need, when we need them and how he can give it. No matter what we do, we can never hide from the Lord. (Hebrews 4:13)

He is the God at hand. The God who is always CLOSE. The one who is always CONSTANTLY by our side. He is our potter, our creator, our shepherd and our light. No matter what He will never leave us not forsake us.

So God created man in His image, in the image of God He created him, male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27

He created us in HIS IMAGE AND LIKENESS. He CREATED US PERIOD.

He created us so we can enjoy and rejoice in His presence. He created us IN HIS IMAGE so we have the FEATURES of God. That is the LOVE of God. That though man sinned and done all he wanted with himself.God did not and NEVER even thought to alter man so we would not be created in His image and likeness.

He NEVER contradicts Himself. What He said, He will do. (Number 23:19)

So BE STILL and KNOW THAT HE IS THE LORD. (Psalm 46:10)

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me, your rod and your staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

UNITY

UNITY

July 13, 2016

[Topic perceived through the Midweek Service 6-8PM today delivered through Ps. Jun Perez]

John 17:11-13 NKJV
“11Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. 12 “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave I have kept, and none of them lost except the one of perdition that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 “But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in them.”

When Jesus was about to be betrayed, He prayed this to the Father. Jesus prayed for His disciples whom God has given Him to disciple to be UNITED as He was about to go back to the Father in a little while.  He declared unity to them as He knew He and the Father are united.

We are the Body of Christ yet are each a member individually. (1 Corinthians 12:27) And though ONE BODY we are of different parts and different functions. (Romans 12:4) Though we are one body, we all have different unique abilities, gifts and talents yet with these different things God made us united towards ONE common goal- to worship and bring glory to His name. As one body, we cannot fully function without the others. We become incomplete and worthless without one another.

pixar_up_movie_balloons_movie__2560x1600_wallpaperfo.com.jpg

It’s like this house floating through a number of balloons like the movie “Up”. If on the sky, the birds would pop some of the balloons that house has the possibility of falling down. Or if the wrong balloons are popped or the winds take come and blow some away, the house might slant and destroy what’s inside the house because of its imbalance.

We are like these balloons, if we don’t stay united, the birds, the winds would come and we would struggle and fall. We will not be able to reach the destination we want to reach; we will not reach the goal we want to accomplish if we are dis-united.

We need teamwork. And we cannot have teamwork if we are not members of any team. So we should find the right team where we can join in and be accepted and treated with respect and humility.

Find a ministry where we can serve and function as one unique part of the body.(1 Corinthians 12:27)

the FIRE of GOD

“Set a fire down in my soul that I can’t contain, that I can’t control. I WANT MORE OF YOU GOD” (taken from the song “Set a Fire”)

FIRE

Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you, when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flames scorch you.

Yesterday (on our Night of Worship, a night set for praising and worshiping God through our singing) while we were singing our last worship song Set a Fire, I said to myself “I haven’t studied about the fire of God”. It was like when the false apostles tried to cast out demons in Jesus name, “I know Jesus and I know Paul but I do not know you” (Acts 19:15). In my case I would have said, “I have started to know God’s water (through the help of Ps. Randall’s book The River Rising and Ezekiel 41-43), I am learning to know God’s anointing, presence and glory (through the help of Evangelist Michael Livengood’s book The Glory Factor), but I do not know you, fire of God YET”. So I set my mind to study and learn more about the fire of God.

THEN with God’s timing, the preaching after the worship was about the FIRE of GOD. Wow! That is real proof that all things work together for good. (Romans 8:28)

Malachi 3: 2-3

2“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderers’ soap. 3He will sit as a refiner’s fire and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering of righteousness.

The fire of God is a refiner’s fire and a purifier of silver.

As the people called by God we are called to mature and edify ourselves for the work of the ministry. We are called to study and gain the knowledge, wisdom and understanding of God through studying of His Scriptures, through Prayer and Supplication, and through our daily experiences that becomes our testimonies. And testimonies come from TESTS. We cannot be called OVERCOMERS without first overcoming something, and we cannot be called SURVIVORS without surviving something. My point is we all have to go through something to gain something, we all have to go through the fire to become PURE.

Before can see the real beauty of any gold or silver, it has to be first refined and purified. And the only way it can be refined and purified is through FIRE. The FIRE will REMOVE all excess baggage to the gold and silver after its been mined and found. The fire will filter everything that does not really belong to the gold and silver. The fire will make the gold and silver REFINED and PURIFIED.

That is also true with us, we as represented by the gold and the silver need to go through the fire, through trial, testing, obstacles and challenges in life so that after going through it in a little while we will become REFINED and PURIFIED. Then we can be called to have a TESTIMONY, called to be OVERCOMERS and SURVIVORS.

Luke 4:29 [Jesus said,] “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!”

And who sent the fire? The fire is sent by God through Jesus. It is by the permission of God that we go through these tests as He did with Job. God had faith in Job so He allowed the enemy to come and tempt him to sin (Job 1:6-12; 2:1-7). And as Job’s reply to his wife our response should be the same “… Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” (Job 2: 10)

I believe that God gave the enemy permission to tempt Job because He knew Job is able to overcome it. For God never gives us anything that He knows we will not be able to overcome. (1 Corinthians 10:13) God gave us trials knowing that these testing of our faith produces patience. God gave us trials knowing that these trials are His way of making us perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:2-3)

WORKERS in the VINEYARD

July 8, 2016

[This revelation came through the Hillsong Conference 2016 as I listened on its live streaming yesterday (July 7, 2016 about 1-3PM)]

Matthew 20: 1-16 The Parable of the Laborer’s of the Vineyard

We always think of ourselves as blessed and favored by the Lord since we are saved and because we serve the Lord with what talents and gifts He has given us. But the Lord made me realize this, DO NOT TAKE WHAT IS YOURS. This was the pastor’s statement (Judah Smith, the City Church) yesterday on the Conference.

What is FAIR? What if we think that what we should get is fair in accordance to our labor? Yet the Lord would say “Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this man the same as to you” (Matthew 20:14). Yet God would give the same measure of what He gave you to what He gave to others who served later than you. Would you consider that fair? Would we still look on what’s fair with God?

Like the brother of the Prodigal Son would we complain because the son who came back is welcomed with joy and with a “party” by the Father? Are we going to be like this son? Or like the laborers about the eleventh hour, are we going to complain and maybe say to ourselves that if the Land Owner ever needed help the next day that we would go at the last hour to save you the labor [as was emphasized on the Conference]? Or are we going to be grateful and thankful to the Lord that we were able to serve more and longer than others and rejoice with them over their salvation and service to the Lord.(Romans 12:15)

God is GOOD.

We should not base our faith on what should be ours but base our faith in TRUST. TRUST in the Lord, that He knows what He is thinking and He knows what He is doing. We must not be caught up with the mindset of the world because God’s mindset, heaven’s mindset is very different from our own. (Isaiah 55:9)

So do not take what’s yours.

“FAMILY REDEEMER”

June 9, 2016 (Thursday)

” … Jacob begot Judah and his brothers. ” Matthew 1:2 (NKJV)

“And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. (16)” Matthew 1:16 (NKJV)

This came to me while reading the Bible during our prayer meeting. I believe as it was taught me that prayer always starts and must be supported by the Word of God. As the Bible says in 1 John 5:14,  “If we ask anything according to his will he hears us” and clearly HIS WILL is written in the Book of Life, the FINAL AUTHORITY in our lives.

I have always wondered why the Lord chose Judah over Joseph as the ancestor of the one called to be our Savior. Well this thought came to me since Joseph was the one who had the favor of the Lord and the one who stood by God despite of all the things he had to go through. And most importantly Joseph was the one who rescued his family from the famine that overtook the whole of  Canaan and Egypt. Joseph was their FAMILY REDEEMER as Boaz was Ruth’s.

[“May the Lord bless him!” Naomi told her daughter-in-law. “He is showing his kindness to us as well as to your dead husband. That man is one of our closest relatives, one of our family redeemers.” Ruth 2:20 (NLT)]

As I read Matthew it became clear to me that though Joseph of Genesis was not chosen to be the ancestor of Jesus, God had other plans for another Joseph in the New Testament. God chose Joseph, the son of a Jacob, a descendant of Judah, as the father figure of Jesus. And Jacob acknowledged and recognized his ancestors’ FAMILY REDEEMER by naming his son Joseph.

As we read along, we can God used Joseph to look after Jesus before His ministry started.

So we see that all things still worked together according to God’s will (Romans 8:28). And AJA! (at last!), my curiosity was met.
